Gringa’s Marquee

I’m not able to keep up with all the Tejano Events out there, nor do I want to take up my entire blog with nothing but ads (although I will continue to post a few of the BIG events, and some of the Dallas-Fort Worth events), SO if you have a Tejano Event that you would like to add, post it as a comment on this page . The comment feature does not allow for HTML , but if you post the URL for your flyer or image , I’ll try to post it on this page for you, I might even put it on the main blog .

  2. Hi Gringz, I am writing on behalf of myself and my group partner for a class project on nationalism. Our names are Meaghan and Mahedir, and we have chosen the Selena part of your blog to talk about how she incorporates Mexican and American culture into her music and fashion. We chose your blog in particular, because you use it to promote other Cumbia and Mexican music, and we found that, in itself, to be a good examply of nationalism, as this blog seems to be like an online community that connects Mexican Americans and Mexican American music fans (regardless of their culture). We were wondering what your ideas or comments are on how your blog serves as a community and promotes Mexican nationalism as well as American nationalism (if you feel that it connects to the U.S. too). We just couldn’t find an e-mail address or anything for you, so if you could, please touch base with us on the best way to keep in contact with you as we journey our way to an A+ paper about your blog! Thanks,
You can send me an inbox at the e-mail address attached to this post, if you don’t mind. This will make things easy, or if you want we can just keep coresponding through this page. I’ll keep checking both spots.
Thanks so much for your help,
    Meaghan and Mahedir

Great lineup and it sounds like a fun event, something different, an outdoor concert in the FALL instead of the swelterting Texas heat. I looked up the Oak Point Amphitheater and it looks like a really cool place to have a concert. I don’t believe I’ve ever attended an outdoor event where could byob.
