Austin band Vallejo has completed recording a brand new song for an upcoming release with one of the group’s musical idols and Grammy Award-winning Tejano legend, Flaco Jimenez.

The result is a Tex-Mex flavored ode to the Vallejo brothers’ childhood hometown called “El Campo” that paints a tribute to the town’s hard working roots and the boys’ early memories of family, friends, good times and the music they grew up around.

“Our father’s Uncle Joe had a Tejano music hall in El Campo called The Pan American Ballroom and he booked a lot of Mexican artists like Little Joe Y La Familia, Freddy Fender, Selena Y Los Dinos, Johnny Rodriguez and of course Flaco,” said A.J. Vallejo.
